TNC brings together internationally active musicians — orchestral leaders, chamber musicians and soloists — in flexible formations that allow large symphonic works to be experienced in intimate settings without sacrificing their depth or sonic richness.

Alongside the great repertoire, TNC creates new work and interdisciplinary projects in dialogue with architecture, visual art, writers and thinkers. Our programmes often explore themes that connect music to the world around us: memory, power, ecology, belonging and dialogue.

The collective grew out of projects developed during Elise Caluwaerts’ 2024 artistic residency at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA). Since then, TNC has evolved into an international platform for performances in concert halls, museums and architectural heritage sites — and in places where music is less often encountered.

This belief is at the heart of our twin concert model: a public performance in a concert hall or cultural institution is paired with a parallel artistic encounter in a hospital, care home, detention facility or community setting. We bring the same artistic ambition to audiences who may otherwise have limited access to cultural life.

TNC also develops projects that explore music as a meeting point between artists, audiences and institutions across borders and disciplines. Through residencies, site-specific productions and collaborations with cultural, academic, healthcare and social partners, we seek to create spaces where listening becomes connection, reflection and shared human experience.

We believe that culture is a basic human need and a fundamental right.
